Committee Descriptions

 
  • Association News: Produces the Rocky Mountain Exchange, RMASFAA's online blog, by collecting and compiling information about happenings in each RMASFAA state. Coordinates and produces other RMASFAA publications as required or directed by the Board. 
  • Conference Planning: Plans, conducts, and evaluates the annual conference, which rotates among the eight states.
  • Corporate Development: Solicits donations to support training activities, the annual conference, the membership directory, multi-cultural scholarships and web site advertising.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Examines issues of importance to the multi-cultural community.  Initiates training opportunities on diversity issues. Makes recommendations to the Board concerning the needs of under-represented students and RMASFAA members.  Selects recipients for scholarships to attend the RMASFAA Summer Institute, the RMASFAA Annual Conference, or to participate in the Leadership Pipeline.
  • Electronic Initiatives: Supports and continues the development of electronic services, including the web site and membership management tools. 
  • Finance and Audit: Prepares the annual budget, monitors expenditures for activities, and advises the Board on all fiscal matters.
  • Leadership Pipeline: Plans and administers a structured mentoring program each year to train future leaders.
  • Membership: Cultivates and develops RMASFAA membership services, manages the member records and maintains the online membership database.  Works in conjunction with the Treasurer to conduct annual invoicing for membership dues.
  • Summer Institute: Plans, conducts, and evaluates the week-long training institute for new and experienced financial aid administrators.
  • Training: Plans and arranges for RMASFAA training activities (except Annual Conference and Summer Institute).
