The Summer Institute Committee would like you to join us at the Rocky Mountain Summer Institute
held at the University of Utah Campus. The week will be packed with opportunities for training
and networking with colleagues as well as fun social activities to help you relax.
RMASFAA's Summer Institute is one of the premier training events in the country designed to
provide a working knowledge of the federal financial aid programs along with understanding the
laws and regulations that govern these programs. You will meet old friends and new, all while
acquiring new knowledge in one of the most beautiful locations in the West.
Intended Audience
Summer Institute is divided into two different tracks: Beginners and Intermediates
*The Beginner Track is designed for those new to the financial aid Profession. Professionals
with experience ranging from one month on up and those moving into new responsibilities will
receive in-depth training from the NASFAA CORE Materials on major topics necessary to the daily
operation of the Financial Aid Office. If you want a good nuts and bolts training, this is the track for you!
*The Intermediate Track will focus on issues that consume the time of more seasoned professional
in the Financial Aid Office. Topics for the Intermediate Track are carefully selected with the
more experienced financial aid professional in mind. NASFAA CORE materials will be provided as
reference material, but this training will focus less on the basics and more on fine-tuning the
knowledge and skills you already have.
