 RMASFAA's mission is devoted to training and is nationally known for its quality professional development of its members. Members receive discounts on registration fees for training activities such as Rocky Mountain Summer Institute (a week-long, in-depth professional training opportunity with specifically designed tracks for new financial aid administrators, those with years of experience, and student loan professionals); decentralized training (state level workshops each fall and spring), and an Annual conference (a variety of training sessions coupled with Department of Education interest sessions and updates). In addition, membership in the association provides the opportunity for professional leadership development for professionals in the Rocky Mountain region through its Summer Institute, Annual Conference and involvement in committees and governance structure. Communication and exchange of ideas with the memberships is critical and is made through timely publications of its on-line newsletter, The Rocky Mountain Exchange via the RMASFAA website at http://www.rmasfaa.org and the RMASFAA-L list serve.
