Association Governance Committee Revises
Policies and Procedures Manual
The Association Governance Committee, composed of the past five RMASFAA Presidents, and the current President, President-Elect and Vice-President, met in Nebraska City, Nebraska, September 28-30 to continue finalizing a complete revision of the RMASFAA Policies and Procedures Manual. The work was begun in March with a meeting in Golden, Colorado, just before the Board's winter meeting.
The AG Committee, Chaired by Past-President Joan Zanders, found the current P & P quite outdated due to the many changes which have occurred over the past two years. The introduction of a variety of on-line web functions has increased the need to provide updated guidance to the Board and committee chairs. "We want and need a P & P manual that will effectively serve and guide the membership," stated Zanders. The committee found a complete revision to be the best solution.
Zanders is very grateful to the committee for the work done on the P & P. She expresses special gratitude to Peg Mason, RMASFAA Vice-President, for her willingness to provide clerical support for the project. Peg has contributed many hours to formatting the revision.
During the October Board meeting, the Board will be asked to review the revised manual and make further changes or to approve the revised P & P for use by the association.
