In the Spotlight
Doug Horne
Doug Horne has been the Director of Financial Assistance at LDS Business College since 1992. He states that he is approaching "10 years in this crazy business." LDS Business College is a private school owned by the LDS Church and a smaller sister of BYU and BYU-Idaho. His biggest work challenges right now are the 21% growth his school experienced this fall, his small staff, and his school's conversion to People Soft which may be completed this summer.
Doug is an active member of UASFAA and is the current President of that association. He will be remembered as "Fred" in Utah's presentation of the Flintstones for the RMASFAA Conference in Utah. He has also served as President-elect and on the Training Committee.
Doug and his wife, Lois, are the parents of 3 sons and one daughter who range in age from 27 to 17. All are still at home, though there is some light at the end of the tunnel as one of the sons is engaged and will be getting married next April.
Even though Doug believes he has a "black thumb", he enjoys gardening. He also enjoys fishing, cooking and going to movies and participating in other activities with his family.
