Terry Bell

Terry Bell is an icon in the financial aid world. She has spent the last 20 years pioneering, learning, improving, and supervising the financial aid process at Dixie State College. Before that, she worked in the financial aid office at Utah Valley State College for eight years.

Terry is the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Dixie State College. In addition to her work there, she contributes heavily to other organizations. This year, she is the president-elect of the Utah Association of Financial Aid Administrators and will be the chairman of the SETA National Conference in Las Vegas. She served for several years on the National Advisory Team for SCT.

Terry is an amazing problem solver. She loves a challenge and can usually figure out the solution in a short time, no matter how technical or complicated it may be. She has an amazing ability to see the whole process and how it works. She is a "sought-after" advisor from schools who use the SCT system and is truly an "expert" in managing this system. Her skills in writing focus reports are extremely valuable to Dixie State College. She has been a presenter at several conferences and has been a "trainer" in financial aid for many years.

Terry is married to John Bell. They have two daughters, Tonya and Jackie. She also has two very devoted dogs who sleep with her every night, Bob Barker and Sandy. Terry has an incredible amount of energy and always has several projects going at a time. She loves to make crafts, sew, and cook. In addition, she is the president of an organization of young girls between the ages of 12-18 in her church group and enjoys giving service there. To know Terry is to love and respect her. She willingly shares her many, many talents and has provided many years of continual service and leadership to the financial aid community.
