Colorado
Mesa State College would like to welcome their new Financial Aid Counselor of Student Employment, Tina Hulihee-Peltier. Tina joined the financial aid office this past summer after spending the last year in Mesa State's Admissions Office as an Admissions Recruiter. Mesa State College would also like to congratulate Tina and her husband Neil on the arrival of their daughter, Kamryn Marie Peltier, born August 23, 2001.

Congratulations to Cheryl J. Hesser, Associate Director of Administration at Colorado State University. Cheryl is now serving as a board member for the National Association of Sigma Users.

Congratulations to Kathleen Gailor, former Director of Financial Aid at Colorado Technical University. Kathleen is now the Chief Compliance Officer at Kean University in New Jersey.

Kansas
Christine Lang, Assistant Director at Fort Hays State University, has moved on to take on a job in the private sector. Taking her place for the interim is Vicki Johansen.

Barbara Ralls has joined the staff at Wichita State University. She will be the new Assistant Director for Customer Service and Training.

At Southwestern College, Marie Marcotte has joined the Financial Aid Office as their half time Office Assistant.

The Friends University Financial Aid Staff has a new teammate. Brandon Pierce started on July 31. With final registration and being short staffed, it has been noted that he gave a new meaning to teamwork. On a sad note, Terri Nigg's mother passed away on August 23rd. Our sympathy goes out to Terri and her family.

Johnson County Community College has a new dean, Dr. Jonathan Long, formerly of San Diego State University and Kansas University. Margie Chaar and Simon Hausner have joined the full time ranks in the Financial Office.

Pittsburg State University has a new Financial Aid Counselor, Julie Blanken. She was formerly at Missouri Southern.

University of Kansas Medical Center has announced the following changes. Angie Dopp, Counselor and Loan Coordinator has become the Assistant Director in Financial Aid. Valerie Poulson has accepted a position with the School of Medicine at KU, as the Director of Program Development. She will serve as liaison between financial aid and the school.

Jennifer Diehl is the new Financial Aid Director at Neosho County Community College. She was formerly with Sallie Mae and Kansas State University. She has degrees in both Agriculture Economics and Accounting.

Barbara Edwards, at Garden City Community College has been named Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She will be responsible for the work study program and loan processing. Diane Bryan has moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family.

Sherry Miller is the new Financial Aid Counselor at Saint Mary College.

Josh Froese has joined the Student Loan Department at Emprise Bank, Hillsboro. Josh is a recent Tabor College graduate.

Donna Fisher is the new Financial Aid Officer at Seward County Community College. She was formerly the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Instructions at the college.

Congratulations to Sharon Williams, Director at MidAmerica Nazarene University. She has become a grandmother again. Meagan Grace Williams was born on August 10th. Grandma and baby are doing great.

Jackie Clark, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Kansas State University, has decided to relocate to the Chicago area. Jackie will be missed and the staff at K-State wish her well. Tanya and Dan McGee are the proud parents of an new baby girl, Kate Madison, born August 31st. All are doing well.

Mike Weatherred, Associate Director of Financial Aid at Ottawa University, is very proud to announce the adoption of his stepchildren, Jacob and Lindsay. Mother, Lesa Weatherred, Financial Aid Assistant at Johnson County Community, Mike and children are doing fine.

Barbara Stapleton, Student Loan Marketing Representative from Commerce Bank & Trust and husband Michael are the proud parents of a baby boy, Connor Drakeford Stapleton. He was born on September 8th. Mother, father and baby doing fine.

Montana
Jim Craig has retired as the Financial Aid Director from Montana State University. His replacement has not been named yet. We all wish Jim well as he embarks on his new life.

Leah Habel has been the assistant director of financial at the University of Great Falls. Previously, Leah had been a financial aid counselor at UGF. Leah began her work in financial aid as a work study student while she was attending Carroll College in Helena.

Dawn Rucker, Montana State University, and her husband Ken welcomed a new baby boy on September 2nd. DeAndre James weighed in at 8 lbs 11 0z. Baby DeAndre just happened to arrive on mom's birthday... what a wonderful present.

Mid-Plains Community College
Libby Milroy has resigned her Position as Associate Director of Financial Aid at Mid-Plains Community College effective February 1. We wish her well in her future endeavors.

NSLP
Matt and Jen Bergmeyer are proud parents of twins born at 35 weeks on 12/8/00 at 1:00 p.m. Welcome to Jack Thomas Bergmeyer 5 lbs, 6 oz. 19½ inches and Emma Jawan Bergmeyer 6 lbs, 7 oz. 20 inches.

Matt Bergmeyer recently resigned his position and is pursuing outside interests. Please wish him well in his new career.

Kelly and Alan Muthersbaugh are the proud parents of a new baby boy. Andrew Jackson (AJ) joined the world on 12/22/00 at 9:04 am and weighs 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 22 inches long!! He joins big brother Matthew in the Muthersbaugh's home. Both Kelly and AJ are doing well.

Good-bye and good luck to Kelly Muthersbaugh from NSLP. Kelly is joining the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Continuing Education department.

Tim and Lynn Bornemeier are the proud parents of Logan Timothy Bornemeier born on November 16th at 3:43 p.m. weighing 6lbs 13oz and 20¼ inches long. He joins big brother Easton, 3.

Wade Peterson and his wife had their second baby Friday, the 13th of April. They named her Taylor Nicole, she weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 21¼ inches long.

Tammy Reece will be welcoming another little boy to their family in September. He will join his two year brother, Tommy.

Sheila Schoessler, Outreach Specialist at the Omaha EPC, brought little Abigail Jo into the world on June 5. She will be welcomed home by big sister Tia and big brother Ray.

Kimberly Grubb has joined the financial aid office at Bellevue University as a Financial Aid Counselor. Kim comes to the F.A. office from the Bellevue University International Program Office.

The Omaha EPC has welcomed Sarah Sell aboard as a Specialist. They immediately turned around and sent her to RMASFAA Summer Institute... but made sure she didn't have her father (Randy Sell) as a Neophyte instructor!

Juanita Czarnick has been named the new financial aid director at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte. Juanita served as the associate director prior to her promotion. Congrats to you Juanita!

North Dakota
Betty Kuss Schumacher, Financial Aid Director for both Valley City State and Mayville State Universities, wishes to extend a thank you for all of the phone calls, cards, flowers and get well wishes received since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May. Following surgery in June, the prognosis is very good and Betty is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Betty is unable to attend the RMASFAA conference this fall. Betty would like to extend a big *HI* and *have fun for me* to all her friends and colleagues.

Donna Wuitschick from Sitting Bull College attended the inter-advanced session and leadership session at Summer Institute.

Melissa Stotts is the new assistant in the Financial Aid Office at Lake Region State College. Melissa is a LRSC alumni who recently moved back to North Dakota from Malta, Montana. Welcome home Melissa.

South Dakota
David Martin, Financial Aid Director at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and his wife, Laura, will celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary in September. David and Laura celebrated their anniversary early by taking in the sights at the 61st Annual Sturgis Rally and Races during August. They have four children, with two having graduated from college (USD and SDSU) and the other two are still living at home.

Brigham Young University
Mary Beth Weston, a financial aid advisor at BYU, will be presenting at the national conference of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education. This is the national association that BYU advisors belong to as Accredited Financial Counselors. She will be presenting a seminary on BYU's booklet, Creating a Financial Path to Graduation.

Judy Brackett, an advisor at BYU, graduated with her Master of Public Administration from the Marriott School of Management. Congratulations, Judy!

Dixie State College of Utah
Teri Dorchuck, an advisor at Dixie State, was the first B.S. Degree graduate from Dixie State College in May, 2001. Way to go, Teri!

Dixie State welcomes two new employees, Jean Miller, who comes to us by way of Alaska and Susie Coon, who moved to Utah from the state of Washington. We welcome these new members to our team.

Snow College
Welcome to four new employees at Snow College. Additions to their staff are Mary Jensen, who will oversee the scholarship program and replaces Kristin Perschon, who left to continue her education; Christie Allred, who is the new loan officer, replaces Michelle Dyreng, who left to start a family; and Deanne Patterson and Sara Nelson, who will work as tecnicians. Good luck to Kristin and Michelle, and welcome to the new employees!
