Goodbye to a Friend:
Susan Hewlett Shipman
We are all saddened by the sudden and unexpected loss of our dear friend and colleague. Susan, a great and very special person, passed away at her home on May 12, 2002, and we will all certainly feel her absence. Susan loved life and enjoyed giving of herself to help others by donating many hours as a volunteer for the Ute Conference Youth Football and the Cottonwood High School Booster Club. She openly welcomed many friends into her life.
As the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Salt Lake Community College, she provided many years of counsel to hundreds of students. Susan's concern for others was expressed in many ways, especially through her smile and cheerful laughter. Many of her friends in the Financial Aid world felt that "Susan was one-of-a-kind, and catching up on news and happenings with her was as fun as going on a vacation - always total laughter and relaxation."
She will be missed.
