Association Governance Committee
The Association Governance Committee is chaired by the Immediate Past President. Other members include the current President, President-Elect, Vice President and the four most recent Past Presidents. Current Membership includes Wilma Kasnic, Chair; Darry Voigt, Jim Swanson, John Nutter, Joan Zanders, Sue Weinreis, Sandy Calhoun, and Janet Dodson.
The purpose of the committee is to annually review and recommend to the Board of Directors changes to the Association Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual to ensure the Association's written statements are consistent with the manner in which it conducts business. This committee also serves the Board regarding the Association's long-range plans, operation, structure and service to members.
During this year, he committee has met and recommended changes to both the Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual.
The Board has accepted the changes and association members will be receiving communication from our President, Darry Voigt, on approving the proposed changes prior to our meeting in North Dakota. The voting primary contact member at each member agency will receive copies of the proposed changes. We encourage each person to review the changes and to respond quickly.
Once approved, revised changes to the Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual will be posted to our website for easy retrieval by the membership.
