Association Governance Committee
Wilma Kasnic, Chair
The membership of this committee consists of President, President-Elect, Vice President, Immediate Past President, plus the four most recent Past Presidents. The immediate Past President serves as chair of the committee.

The committee typically meets once outside the conference to review the Assocation's Policy and Procedures Manual and Bylaws. The committee's charge is to review and recommend changes to the Association's Policies and Procedures Manual. Proposed changes along with rationale are presented to the board for approval. If approved, the revised P & P Manual is updated on our website. Recommended changes to the Bylaws are approved and recommended by the board of directors and voted on by the voting members of the membership. Again, upon approval, the Bylaws are updated on the website.

Other areas within this committee's responsibility are recommendations to the Association's Strategic Long-Range Plans and overseeing the development and maintenance of the Association's archives.

The last two years we have updated and streamlined our Policy and Procedures Manual for ease and clarity of information. We encourage each member to take the opportunity to review it on the website. If you have questions, concerns or comments, please let me someone on the committee hear from you.

Sometime in the next few months, each voting member will have an opportunity to vote on some proposed changes to the Bylaws. Be sure the voting member at your institution participates in this process. This is your association. We want to make sure each of you have a good understanding of how our association works.

Thanks for all you do to make RMASFAA the strong organization it is.
