DMCI Committee – Make a Wish

The RMASFAA philanthropic project for 2006 is Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah. The goal of Make-A-Wish Foundation is to “grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.” RMASFAA’s specific wish is for an adorable little four-year old girl named Tea, whose dream it is to go to Disney World. Tea is described by her mom as energetic and friendly. She loves playing with her dolls and dancing and wants to be a ballerina. Tea loves princesses, riding her bike, watching Dora the Explorer and the Care Bears, swimming, and playing with her brothers. She loves pizza, chicken, candy and anything chocolate! Like so many little girls, her favorite color is pink. Unlike most little girls, Tea has leukemia.

DMCI will host a raffle as our primary fundraising event for Make-A-Wish Foundation. The DMCI Committee hopes you will all come prepared to participate. You are invited to bring a “packable” gift for the raffle, if you like; but we hope, at the very least, you will each buy lots of raffle tickets to help send Tea to Disney World. Raffle gifts with a “wish” or conference theme would add to the touch, but any suitable contribution would be appreciated. If you can’t attend the conference but want to participate, please mail a raffle gift or check made out to RMASFAA Make-A-Wish to Joan Zanders, Northeast Community College, PO Box 469, Norfolk, NE 68702.

Tickets will be sold throughout the conference; the prize drawing and check presentation will climax our fundraising event. You need not be present to win. If we raise at least a $1000 (RMASFAA can do FAR better than that!), we will be listed as a sponsor for Tea’s wish come true. Please come prepared to make a beautiful difference in the life of a gorgeous little girl as together we make this another rewarding RMASFAA project!
