Colorado School of Mines – Golden,
Colorado
June 12 – 17, 2005
Join us for the 24th annual Rocky Mountain
Summer Institute on the
beautiful campus of Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
Why should you attend?
Top-NotchTraining
Summer Institute is known nationally as the premier training event
year after year. You’ll receive 4 ½ days packed full
of sessions covering news affecting the student aid industry.
The Core Track is designed for the new financial
aid professional from one month on up or for those moving into
new responsibilities in financial aid. There are times when we
all feel “NEW” to our profession because of the many
changes. You too are welcome to join and learn all over! NASFAA’s
CORE material will provide in-depth training on major topics necessary
to the daily operation of the Financial Aid Office. Classes will
be limited in size and divided by level and length of experience.
Each class will have two faculty dedicated to spending the week
teaching you the basics.
Topics for the Advanced Level Track have been
carefully selected with the experienced financial aid professional
in mind. Join us for four and a half days of critical thinking
and sharing with your colleagues. In addition to thinking and
sharing, we will devote time at the end of each day to take the
results of our sessions and incorporate them into Consumer Information
and institutional Policies and Procedures format. Presentations
and discussions will focus on issues that consume the time of
Directors, Associate/Assistant Directors, or program coordinators
in the Financial Aid Office.
Topics for the Associate Level Track have been
carefully selected with the student loan professional (lender,
guarantor, servicer, secondary market, or other associate member)
in mind. Attending Summer Institute 2005 will offer each participant
the chance to make new contacts (network), brainstorm with your
peers (professional development), and learn from industry leaders
(educate).
Interaction with Colleagues
Summer Institute provides you with the ideal setting to network
in a casual atmosphere with your colleagues. We anticipate at
least 125 participants attending primarily from the eight RMASFAA
states, but also from all across the country. We will have structured
(and fun!) activities on some nights, free evenings on others.
Registration Priority Date: Saturday, May
21, 2005
NOTE: A late fee of $100 will be assessed for all registrations
received after Saturday, May 21, 2005.
Registration Deadline: Friday, June 10, 2005
For more information on the tracks please refer to the Rocky
Mountain Summer Institute registration booklet on-line at the
