Decentralized training was held at the Montana State Capital
Building in Helena on November 9 and 10. Approximately 45 individuals
were in attendance. While the training was very informative, as
always, many of the attendees enjoyed the opportunity to tour
Montana’s recently renovated Capital building.
Montana will host its first College Goal Sunday on February 13,
2005 in 11 locations across the state. Student Assistance Foundation
of Montana is the lead organization spearheading this event in
Montana. Other partners include the MASFAA, Montana GEAR UP, Montana
Post-Secondary Education Opportunities Council, TRiO/Mount Aspire
members and the Montana School Counselors Association. We are
looking forward to this event being well received and attended.
Planning is also underway for MASFAA’s annual conference
which will be held in Missoula on April 20-22, 2005. We look forward
to having RMASFAA President Elect, Sally Shuman, with us then.
There will also be Department of Education training preceding
the conference on April 19, and the topic for this training is
“Audits and Program Reviews: Paths for Success”.
