As part of the Association News Committee for RMASFAA, we
are highlighting our current committee chairs and state presidents.
In each “RMASFAA Exchange” we will invite four or
five of them to be “In the Spotlight” and give you
the opportunity to better know these dedicated and hard-working
volunteers.
When I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder I
still didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. So I decided
to stay with my mother who was stationed in Utah for a while.
While there I met my future husband and began working at the front
windows of the Financial Aid Office at the University of Utah.
Ten years later I am still in financial aid as an assistant director.
I am also married and have a beautiful daughter we call Nia. My
husband is currently serving in Afghanistan. He left Utah in January
of this year and should return around the middle of 2005. I plan
to disappear for a while once he gets back so we (the three of
us) can reconnect.
Karen adds, "I know this is short, but I don't talk much."
