RMASFAA Summer Institute 2004: A “Golden” Opportunity

Don’t miss a “GOLDEN” opportunity to meet and learn with fellow financial aid experts (and newcomers!) at RMASFAA Summer Institute 2004!!

The Summer Institute Committee would like to extend an invitation for you to join us June 6-11, 2004 for the RMASFAA Summer Institute in our new location at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. The RMASFAA Summer Institute is known nationally as the premier training opportunity for financial aid administrators.

We have an exciting new format for 2004!! In response to your requests for detailed track offerings and greater variety from which to choose, we have redefined the sessions based on interest topics, level of experience, and focus, while retaining the high quality of training that you have come to expect from the RMASFAA Summer Institute.

All tracks will be starting Sunday afternoon, June 6. Under the new format we have established 5 interest tracks ranging from Financial Aid 101, 102 and 103 for the financial aid novice all the way through an expert level along the lines of the NASFAA Symposium (which will not be offered in the RMASFAA region this year.) One track is for new directors and those who eventually want to become directors, another for current directors, and other tracks provide the opportunity to select focused topics within basic overall financial aid topics. All the way through the 5 financial aid tracks, the NASFAA Core Materials will be used to varying extents – depending on the level of experience and knowledge in the class.

The track for the Student Loan Professional (Finance 101) returns with an expanded and improved format. Loan Pros will receive 3 ½ days packed full of sessions, presentations, and discussions covering news affecting the student loan industry.

Along with the 5 days of intense training, Summer Institute provides you with the ideal setting to network in a casual atmosphere with your colleagues from the eight RMASFAA states, and all across the country. We will have structured (and fun!) activities on some nights, free evenings on others.
