By Wilma Kasnic
At our awards banquet held at the annual meeting of RMASFAA, we had the opportunity to honor several of our colleagues.
Outstanding Committee - Summer Institute
The outstanding committee(s) of the year, as chosen by the Board of Directors were the Electronic Initiatives Committee chaired by Chris Johnson and the Summer Institute Committee, chaired by Jeanne Mott. The criteria for selection are exemplary qualities of leadership and work. Both committees did an outstanding job this year.

Chris Johnson, O. R. "Jack" Hendrix Award winner
The Board of Directors chose Chris Johnson as the O. R. "Jack" Hendrix Award winner. This award is given each year to a person who, within the last year, made a significant "first contribution" to the association. The purpose of this award is to encourage members to become involved in carrying out the mission of the Association and to encourage continued individual support to the financial aid profession.
The Hall of Fame is our highest award and was presented this year to Mick Hanson. Mick has been a leader in financial aid for his state and our association for many years as a trainer, chair of Summer Institute and various other committees. He's a "class act" and very deserving of this honor.
Why not take a minute and send an e-mail or personal note to several of your colleagues listed above who were honored during the conference? Notes from colleagues and friends make any day a little brighter.
