Voigt's View
By Darry Voigt, RMASFAA President

The past several days I've come to work with the intention of writing my first article for the Exchange as RMASFAA's President. Each night I have gone home wondering where the day went and wishing I had had the time to get this done. Today I had the opportunity to e-mail a couple members of your board (I sometimes say mine but they are really yours) and their quick, enthusiastic response reminded me once again, it's good to be a RMASFAA member. From the great conferences, like we had in Wichita to Decentralized Training in your home state and on to the Summer Institute in Colorado Springs, RMASFAA provides that up-to-date training where you can learn the new things you need to learn, reinforce those things you need to remember and kibitz with friends and colleagues on the real way to handle those weird circumstances that pop up every day. Not only that but it is an escape from the day to day tedium of high stress levels, deadlines and demanding students, not to mention office and school politics. Membership and registration fees, for RMASFAA and our offerings, really should be covered under our insurance policies as mental health benefits. Today's e-mails had to do with the Road Rally but it could have been with any of my (oops, there I go again) YOUR board as I know they are all working hard to do their best for you. That little shot of RMASFAA pepped me up today and I know it can do the same for you. So keep your eye on the Exchange, check the RMASFAA web site often, and make sure you are subscribed to RMASFAA-L so you don't miss any of what RMASFAA has to offer. Thank you RMASFAA. It's going to be a great year!
